Personal History

How did I come to this place? Well, it’s quite a story, but here’s the abbreviated version.

I was born in Australia in the 1960s and educated in the UK in the 1970s and 80s. I grew up in a family that whilst we had all the ‘creature comforts’, was lacking in affection and direction. I know how this can affect one’s self-esteem and feelings of worthiness, and have now learned some very helpful tools to boost confidence and self-belief which I share with my clients so that they can use these far beyond our life strategy liaison.

In 2014, I realised that my my partner of 8-years had been manipulative, toxic and controlling. I understand what women (and men) have been through in a coercive relationship – the betrayal they endured, how their self-esteem was eroded, their values stomped all over, their achievements zeroed down and how trauma bonds were forged.  I can help you overcome those feelings of hopelessness and helplessness and give you tips, exercises and ideas on getting your life ‘back on track’ post an abusive relationship.

I was lucky enough to have consulted a therapist who was conversant with abusive relationships and who specialised in EMDR therapy, but what really helped me get my ‘head above water’ was my life coach/TFT practitioner. She helped me get back to the joyful, enthusiastic and adventurous person I was previously. Because these two modalities helped me so much, I decided to go and get the certifications myself so I too could help people find their life purpose and happiness again. If you are in this situation, I can help you release negative thoughts and feelings and remind you of the strengths you possess in order to live a productive, fulfilled and purposeful life.

I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to live on three different continents (Australasia, the United States and Europe), so I appreciate the diversity in people as well as recognising that we are all individuals travelling along our own paths. I can relate to people from all walks of life.

Having worked in public relations, advertising and publishing, I set up and ran two successful home businesses – a graphic design company and an equestrian news portal/website, so I understand the entrepreneurial mindset – both the challenges and the successes. Whilst I am not a mentor, I have been asked on several occasions for advice in relation to setting up and operating a small enterprise and am happy to share with you information that you may find useful.

I have been a volunteer at animal refuges for many years. I help women particularly, who have experienced abusive relationships along with assisting refugees in both Europe and Australia.

I offer special rates to charitable organisations – please contact me for further information.

I am an avid seeker of knowledge, a dressage enthusiast and a nature-loving empath.

I am passionate about helping people discover, embrace and fully engage with their greatness that’s within them.
